<B>Collection of Local Copper Falus (Part II),</B></I> similar to the preceding lot but with 201 of the early type only, struck circa 1100-1270AH, virtually all with some animal (lion, bird, fish etc) on the obverse and farsi legends on the reverse, occasionally with mint name, date and the word "falus." The grades are quite pleasant for the series, certainly nice average circulated with no heavily damaged or useless coins, and very little duplication. The average retail prices we have observed for this era runs $15-30, but very few are available, even on Ebay or dealers' pricelists. A fascinating challenge with incredible diversity and very low individual cost.
