In full: “Methus'lah lived nine hundred years, Methus'lah lived nine hundred years, But who calls dat livin' when no gal'll give in, To no man what's nine hundred years.” Signed at the conclusion, “From ‘It Ain’t Necessarily So’ (Porgie and Bess), Ira Gershwin,” adding a brief inscription at the top. In fine condition. A superb lengthy musical quotation from a name synonymous with show tunes.
