Diademed and draped bust of Artemis right, quiver over shoulder / Apollo Delphios standing left, resting on tripod; maeander pattern below; all within laurel wreath. Jones obverse die 32; SNG von Aulock 7921. <B>EF.</B></I> Jones suggests that the individuals specified on the coins of Magnesia were not public officials but rather the city's wealthy elite, who were honored by having their names placed on the coins because they had provided for the coinage.
