Inverness & Perth Railway 1/2 gallon oil bottle plated "I & P. Sec.29". 12" tall, with cork and chain. The Inverness & Perth Junction Railway opened in 1863 to operate a line from Dunkeld to Forres. It amalgamated with the Inverness & Aberdeen Junction Railway to form the Highland Railway in 1865. An astonishing survivor from a railway that only existed for two years. (see Lot 355).
