Part of the genre of sci-fi films that successfully blended the nation's paranoia regarding Communist infiltration with an emerging fascination with UFOS and extraterrestrial life, this is a true classic. Artfully directed by William Cameron Menzies, the movie still strikes a chord in these days of terror threat warnings and Homeland Security. This beautiful half sheet had some fold wear and crossfold separation, as well as some paper loss in the lower right that has been airbrushed. All of these considerations have been addressed with professional restoration, with a very pleasing result. This is a rare format for this classic film!
