For your consideration is this six book collection of books published by the International Collectors Library, plus a seventh published by Harper & Brothers Publishers. The International Collectors Library was a book club series, started in the late 1940's, with books published by Doubleday and produced in Garden City, New Jersey. They were meant to be a series of inexpensive copies of great literary classics. These books are leatherette bound dark red with gold embellishments and gilt edges. The six titles are as follows: "Alexander of Macedon", Winesburg, Ohio", "Northwest Passage", "The Histories and Poems of William Shakespeare", "The Silver Chalice", "Autobiography" (Benvenuto Cellini). All books are in good to very good condition; they all have different publish dates. A seventh book, "The Complete Works of James Whitcomb Riley-Volume III", is published by Harper & Brothers Publishing. It too is dark red with gold embellishments and is in very good condition.
