Interesting travelling gambler’s style rig, consisting of box containing cards, dice, poker chips, checks, engraved centerfire pistol, and small pearl-handled dirk. The box is constructed of Moroccan type red-dyed leather with pull-out compartment containing a small double-action Belgian revolver. Approx. 1-5/8” barrel, 5-1/4” overall, nicely scroll engraved, pearl grips, gold-washed hammer, showing Belgian proofs, serial #797, with folding trigger. Similar to type marketed as “the puppy”. Pistol remains in very good condition, with 85-95% original nickel, just some normal aging and just starting pinprick pitting. Approx. 50% gold wash on hammer. Very good plus to near fine grips. The lower pull-out drawer contains cartridges and bone, plastic, and pearl chips. The top compartment contains a deck of steamboat cards, several sets of dice, and gaming checks or markers. The top compartment is lined with satin and shows a provision to carry a small dirk, and the dirk is marked W. C. Booth, Sheffield, and shows engraved German silver mounts, pearl handle, engraved blade, and original scabbard. The knife measures approx. 8-3/4” overall with 5” blade. The blade is in good
