Interesting falling block single shot rifle with no markings except “W. N. Howe” on the top flat of the octagon barrel, .38 cal., 27-1/2” barrel, brown patina, two sling swivels, plain wood stocks, #NVSN; fair + bore, good action, heavy dark patina on metal surfaces with scattered erosion and light to moderate pitting, good wood stocks, smooth steel butt plate, muzzle of barrel shows last ½” round. An interesting single shot that should be further researched. Est.: $800-$1,600.
