A handwritten bank note to the father of steel engraved bank notes and postage stamps, drawn against the Essex Bank and authorizing Perkins to print 1002 half Sheet Bills at 4 cents per half sheet, etc. At the time of this letter Perkins was producing fairly high quality printing with acid etched steel plate engravings.
