Interesting Ross Model 1905 straight pull bolt action rifle, marked on left side of receiver “Ross Rifle Co. Quebec. Canada. 1905. Patented” with no other markings on metal surfaces that appear to be all copper; .303 cal., 28” barrel, bayonet lug on front barrel band, wood stock, retractable “door” in butt plate for cleaning rod (no cleaning rod present), sling swivels, adjustable rear sight, hooded front sight, #NVSN. This gun is in overall good to very good condition showing a deep patina on metal surfaces, good bore, action is only partially working and needs adjustment by a competent gunsmith, wood is overall very good with “3.12”, “20” and “3” and a star markings on the right side of the butt stock with a correct appearing flaming bomb proof over “U.S.” behind the trigger guard over the number 1575 over X over 33. This gun deserves further research. Est.: $200-$400.
