Interesting Late WWII Walther AC 45 Code dual Stamp G43/ K43 Sniper Rifle with Scope and Mount
This is a nice example of a late-war production K43 Sniper rifle as manufactured by the Walther factory and given the war time code of "ac". These semi-automatic rifles were equivalent to the M1 Garand in the German Army and were intended to provide an increase in firepower. The left side of the receiver is marked with the Nazi Eagle acceptance proof with the Eagle 359 above "K43 ac/45 G43 serial number". Matching receiver. It is fitted with the late type, mismatched bolt cover/carrier with the reinforcing web on top, the solid cocking knob on the left side with the matching serial number arsenal panographed over number "4875" and the hold open latch on the right side. It has the stamped action cover with the sliding dust cover and the scope rail on the right side. The rifle is fitted with a late war scope mount with the rounded ends, with a single Eagle 359 Waffenamt in the middle under the locking lever which is correctly marked "fest" and "lose". The scope has a rubber eye piece and is marked "ZF K 43 dow triangle / 43850" on the left side. The rifle is equipped with a raised ramp front sight and tangent rear sight graduated to 1200 meters. The stock and handguard are the correct WWII laminated version with a crisp" Eagle/ 359" proof on the left side of the butt stock, below the sling slot and another smaller Eagle 359 Waffenamt proof in the pistol grip area. The magazine is a K43 marked "aye" with the Eagle WaA843 Waffenamt. The rifle has the all phosphate finish except for the barrel which has the wartime blue, and the scope mount has the wartime rough cast light gray finish with a blue finish locking lever and phosphate finish on the scope. The cleaning rod and sling are absent. It is complete with a front sight hood, rubber muzzle cover and wooded, green painted scope case with a canvas belt loop and shoulder strap.

The stock is very good with a 1 1/2" filled repaired crack on the left toe area and overall minor scratches, scuffs and dings. The scope is very good with almost all of the original phosphate finish remaining, some minor pitting on the front and clear optics. The markings are highlighted in white and remain crisp and clear. The action is excellent. The scope case is good with some wear and chipping of the paint on the edges and corners.
