Interesting American Indian Bow with Quiver and arrows. The bow measures 47 1/2" and is nicely painted and decorated with doe skin wrapped center for grip and quill work trim. The quiver measures approx 18" from end to end and is from heavy hide proband arrows. The bow measures 47 1/2" and is nicely painted and decorated with doe skin wrapped center for grip and quill work trim. The quiver measures approx 18" from end to end and is from heavy hide probably moose or buffalo with fur trim and wood bands with rawhide type stitching, Indian tanned, decorated with geometric and pictorial with pine trees at center. The wood bands also show Sinu wrap. We would date this authentic Indian made ensemble from 1900-1940s and have had different opinions of the area of origin from Oregon eastward in the Northwest to Minnesota and the Great Lakes region to Indian made arrows, one with trade steel tip still retained are included and arrows are Sinu wrappedwith feather quills. Very interesting artifact that need further research from a local estate.
