International Harvester U.S. M1 Garand, #5141879, .30-06 cal., 24'' barrel marked ''SA'' dated 5-53, parkerized finish, DoD cartouched walnut stock, interior channel numbered 1465, all correct IHC marked parts, and late variety unmarked small parts. This rifle was originally assembled with a 1953 dated Springfield mfg'd barrel. Formerly in the collection of James E. ''Mac'' McCollum, with letter from Scott A. Duff. Includes correct post-war green canvas sling. Condition is fine retaining approx. 96% original finish to metal, with most of the losses to buttplate. Stock with scuffs, scratches and impressions.
