<B>Edgar Rice Burroughs <I>Tarzan at the Earth's Core</B></I></B></I> (New York: Metropolitan Books, Inc., 1930), first edition, 301 pages, 12mo (5.25" x 7.75), green cloth boards with a frontispiece illustration by J. Allen St. John. The book is inscribed from Burrough's wife to her brother. <I>"To Eddie from your ever loving sister - Florence Gilbert Burroughs".</B></I> Mrs. Burroughs' bookplate is on the inside front cover as well as another bookplate on the front free endpaper which bears her name from a previous marriage - <I>Florence Gilbert Dearholt.</B></I> Though she was overshadowed by her better known author husband, Florence had an equally interesting life. Her uncanny resemblance to silent-screen star Mary Pickford landed her a role as Mary's double and in this role she appeared in over 50 films.
