She was best known for her landscape paintings, particularly those depicting locations in the Midwest, such as Indiana and Illinois. Bolinger pursued her artistic endeavors later in life and was a self-taught artist. She had a distinctive style that was characterized by vivid colors, free brush strokes, and compositions that felt alive. The painting shows the artist's signatures in the bottom right hand corner reading, "Inez Russell Bolinger 1940". The painting is unframed.
