Indo-French, Muhammad Shah, silver rupee, actually struck at Chandernagar, but with mint name Murshidabad on the coin, distinguished by the 5 petal flower to right of the regnal year on reverse, AH 115x/RY 22, KM 27, Lec 170, 11.60g, Shroff mark on edge.

Very fine, Very scarce.

The governor of Chandernagar, Mr. Dupleix, obtained coining rights in 1738 and struck rupees, halves and quarters date 1151/21 and 1152/RY 22. The year 22 is much rarer than 21.
