20th. century Indian hand-carved white marble box with inlaid polychrome and iridescent mother of pearl and semi-precious stones as carnelian, lapis lazuli, etc. The marble box has fine, reticulated side decorations in open work. This hand work is typical for Agra, where the skills of inlaying the marble were transmited from father to son for many generations, since Taj Mahal was built. Dimensions: 4.2" X 3.1" (11 cm.
