Letter to Isaac Pierce Simonton reads, in part: “We the Chiefs of and Warriors of the Chippewa tribe respectfully thank you for the services you have rendered us for paying our Annuities due this last year by the Government of the United States…we all shake you by the hand…we are perfectly satisfied with your proceedings therefore we will depend upon your assistance in making this Treaty with our Great Father the President.” Reverse of second integral page bears an address panel to Simonton. In very good condition, with intersecting folds, uniform toning, and clipped section to second integral page.
