This coin of Toramana is a unique type, distinguished by several features: a trident positioned in front of the bust, the inscription 'Shri' preceding 'Tora', and the absence of a chakra at the top. Additionally, its weight is notably lower than usual. Toramana invaded northern India in the late 5th century. However, his son Mihirakula lost all of these conquests after being defeated in battle by Narasimhagupta and Yashodharman of Malwa.
