Sikh Empire, Diwan Moti Ram (2nd governership) (VS 1878-1882; AD Dec. 1821 - spring 1825), silver rupee, Khitta Kashmir mint, VS 1880 (1823 AD), Herrli 06.11.04B, 10.90g. Obv: Gobind Shahi couplet 'Degh Te'gh Fateh Nusarat Be'dirang, Ya'ft Nanak Guru Gobind Singh' with “SRI RAM” in Persian above the word 'Guru'. Rev: Persian legend Zarb Khitta Kashmir with date and leaf symbol with Katar (Dagger) seen across the stem of the leaf.

Two sword varieties are known to exist for this period for reasons yet unknown. Many battles were fought in Kashmir with most significant being Muzaffarabad in Kashmir being occupied in 1823 and General Hari Singh Nalwa appointed Jagirdar (Administrator) of the Hazara region.
