Mysore, Tipu Sultan (1782-1799 AD), silver ½ rupee, Pattan mint, AM 1200/Dalaw and RY4/Dalaw, KM 105, 5.66g. Obv: Farsi legend Huw al-Sultan al Waheed al Adil Suyim Bahari Sal Dalaw Julus Sanah 5. Rev: Farsi legend Ahmad Muhammad Din dar Jahan Ast Roshan ze Fathah Haidar He Zarb Patan Saal Dalaw Sanah 12(00) Hijri. Full dotted border visible on both sides.

Uncirculated, Extremely rare.

This is a rare example of an early issue of Tipu's silver coinage where the denomination ('Abidi in this case) is not mentioned in the coin legends. These coins bear dates in Hijri Era, instead of Mauludi and were struck for two years, 1199 and 1200 with a combination of three RYs - 3, 4 and 5.
