Qasba Rahimatpur Mint, Silver Do-Dandi Rupee, 11.35g, in the name of Shah Ali Gohar, Mint name at bottom on reverse. Extremely fine, rare.
This town is about 27 kilometers south east of Satara, it was fairly large trade center. The town was under administration of Patwardhan Family. Maratha account state this as a subsidiary mint of Satara. In Various old Maratha account books “Rahimatpuri” Rupee is mentioned.
