The company’s claims are listed at the top: Independence- 6000 ft., Vallejo- 800 ft. , Glengarry- 1000 ft., Bernadette- 1000 ft., Black Prince- 1000 ft. and Edward Everett- 1000 ft. By 1868, Treasure Hill had mining rushes and the population swelled to 6,000. In less than two years time, over 13,000 claims were located on Treasure Hill; most of them were never worked.
