Number 58 Issued in 1869 to G. Clem Uhler for 50 shares at $100 each. Endorsed on reverse. Signed by M.J. McDonald as president. Treasure Hill White Pine Mining District, Nevada printed on the top. The company’s claims are listed at the top: Independence- 6000 ft., Vallejo- 800 ft. , Glengarry- 1000 ft., Bernadette- 1000 ft., Black Prince- 1000 ft. and Edward Everett- 1000 ft. By 1868, Treasure Hill had mining rushes and the population swelled to 6,000. In less than two years time, over 13,000 claims were located on Treasure Hill; most of them were never worked. Probably as much as $20 million in silver was mined by 1880 (Paher). Twenty-five cent revenue stamp affixed at the lef.t
