ABRAHAM YATES JR. (1724-1796) American lawyer and civil servant. Yates was a member of the NY Provincial Congress, chairman of the Albany Committee of Correspondence and a delegate to the Congress of the Confederation. Manuscript Document Signed as witness by Yates, “Abm. Yates, Jun.” One page, 12 3/4” x 15”. New York. June 13, 1761. The document serves as an indenture between Elisabeth Helling and Janetie[?] Bratt. Helling grants Bratt a tract of land in “Manner Renslaar in the County of Albany” for the sum of ten shillings. Some dampstaining. Usual folds. Uneven edges. Overall Fine.
