These lozenge units are ordered in horizontal bands of shared ground colors. As the tunic would have been seen on a wearer, three evenly spaced horizontal bands have white as a prevalent color, thus creating a pulsating visual subdivision of the front. A slightly differing half-lozenge band at the bottom stabilizes the design. Condition of one side is good, while the other has several areas of abrasion and fiber loss.

Provenance
David Bernstein, New York

Impor
