In the Line of Fire (1993) - John Malkovich (Mitch Leary) Custom Dual-Barrel Composite Assassin Zip Gun.
Prop made of various individual resin parts. As seen in various states throughout the film.
Original static resin assassin gun used by "Mitch Leary" in the Wolfgang Petersen directed political action thriller film 'In the Line of Fire' (1993). Starring Clint Eastwood, John Malkovich and Rene Russo.
The film is about a disillusioned and obsessed former CIA agent who attempts to assassinate the President of the United States and the Secret Service agent who tracks him. Eastwood's character is the sole active-duty Secret Service agent that was still remaining from the detail that had guarded John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Texas, at the time of his assassination in 1963. The film also stars Dylan McDermott, Gary Cole, John Mahoney, and Fred Thompson.
For the assassination, Leary uses his model-making skills to build a zip gun out of composite material to evade metal detectors. When at the hotel where the President is staying, Leary assembles the weapon under the party table (after having practiced assembling it with his eyes closed several times), after having previously hidden the ammunition in a rabbit's foot keychain, and the springs in a pen.
Don't miss out on the key prop from this classic movie.
