In Service For The Girls of the World (Lot of 2) 30"x 20" Artist: Neysa McMein. Printed for the Y.W.C.A. Neysa McMein was an illustrator and poster artist who designed all the McCall's Magazine covers from 1923 through 1927 for the Saturday Evening Post and The Woman's Home Companion. During WWI, McMein went to France as a lecturer and entertainer for the United States and France. She designed posters for the Y.M.C.A., the Y.W.C.A., and the Red Cross. Her posters are very popular for their soft images of women, and the light and airy feeling of her strokes. This lovely poster features a woman wearing the Y.W.C.A. colors of blue and white. Her features depict McMein's soft touch. A truly artistic poster. A great lot for any collection! <r<r Condition-Poster #1-Good; severe tear on bottom edge, normal wear on edges from rolling/storage, dirt stains and residue on lower edge, water damage stains on lower edge. <r<r Poster #2-Fine; normal wear on edges from rolling/storage, blue ink stain on upper left edge.
