Impressive beaded and quilled Indian pipe bag approx. 36” overall and approx. 8” wide in overall very good condition showing an approx. 10” beaded panel on both sides of the bag with geometric designs of white, red,green, purple and greasy yellow seed beads; additional bead trim along the upper portion of the bag and three small beaded stalks on each side at the top of the panels with tin cone accenting; lower portion of bag showsmulti-color quill work with some slight losses and fringed hide strips extending from the quillwork; beadwork is sinew sown and artfully accomplished; appears to be Dakota Sioux. Est.: $1,250-$2,500.
