Important lot of approx. 14 old United States Patent Office grants covering mostly Colt Firearms-related patents from Patersons thru Roots, belt-sized conversions, shoulder stocks, Dragoon-sized revolvers, etc. Thesedocuments show considerable age with many marked as produced by N. Peters, Photo-Lithographer, Washington, D.C.; originally from the Charles T. Haven estate, noted gun book author and collector;condition of the documents are overall good with some fraying at the edges, discoloration at the old staples but easily readable with clear drawings of the affected patents; possibly copies ordered by Haven from thePatent Office in the 1940’s in preparation for his landmark book on Colt Firearms.
