Important factory presentation prewar/postwar Colt Single Action Army revolver, .45 caliber, 7-1/2" barrel, blue and case hardened finish, hardrubber grips, serial #357060. Factory letter states this Colt was presented to Clyde R. Wells of RemingArms Company on November 26, 1947 by Colt Patent Firearms Manufacturing Company and Graham H. Anthony was president of Colt at this time. The 1969 dated factory letter is signed by Thomas Turner, manager of Press Relations and confirmscaliber, finish, barrel length, and documents the presentation. Another letter from Remington Arms Company signed R. A. Baldwin, manager of advertising and shooting development, lists gun #357060, describes caliber and barrel length, andthat the pistol was owned by Clyde Wells, director of Sales for Remington, and one of the best professional trap shooters Remington ever employed. Mr. Baldwin states that Graham H. Anthony presented Wells with this revolver at hisRemington retirement party in 1947. The revolver remains in fine to excellent original condition showing 97-99% plus original blue and case hardening, just a slight index line on the cylinder and evidence of minor firing and slight
