Important cased presentation Gustav Young engraved, silver plated with gold washed cylinder, hammer, trigger and rammer DA percussion Pocket revolver, .31 cal., 4” octagon barrel, finely checkered ivory grips, #6515. This gun is in overall fine to excellent condition showing the majority of its original period silver finish with toning and some slight edge wear and pin prick speckling; the majority of the originalperiod gold wash remains on the engraved rammer, the trigger displays the majority of its gold wash and the hammer shows approx. 65% gold wash with loss confined primarily to the top of the hammer that also has some old erosion as does the right side of the cylinder that is pitted, likely from moisture that one time was present as the gun lay in its deluxe walnut case; otherwise, considerable gold wash remains. The one piece ivory grips are overall fine with a beautiful mellow color with original period purple dye in the checkering with a couple tiny old chips at the front toe area, good action, markings, and very good bore; trigger
