Highly coveted and extremely rare Tom (1904-1977) & Nels (1903-1972) Qualey silver mounted cowgirl presentation spurs with block "Qualey Bros." inside maker-mark and the initials “HEM” engraved on the outside of each heelband for Hazel E. McLaughlin. Spurs are fitted with the original (circa 1936) fully floral carved Ray Holes 2-piece leathers. The Ray Holes Saddle Co was a popular fixture in Grangeville, Idaho, and Ray was a big booster of the Qualey Brothers. Eventually, Tom went to work for Holes for 29 years, spanning four decades (1948-1977). Spurs are in outstanding condition, straps show some age cracking.
Attached tag reads, "Presented by Bill Wright to Hazel McLaughlin (HEM) in 1936."
