Once again, we are extremely excited to announce our very important spring Lamp & Glass auction. This is the finest grouping of lamps and glass that we have ever offered. We are very proud to have been selected to offer the art glass Shade Collection of the late Mr. Jon Heiden. Mr. Heiden is well known as one of the premier collectors and authorities in fine art glass shades. His collection consisting of rare and unusual examples of Tiffany, Steuben, Quezal and other important makers of art glass shades, certainly the finest we have seen and offered. To compliment this exceptional collection we have acquired another fine collection of 60+ quality shades. These wonderful shades are a great addition to the fine selection of important 20th Century Lighting incl. Tiffany, Handel, Pairpoint, Bigelow & Kennard, Unique, Chicago Mosaic and more. Some of the highlights incl. a wonderful Tiffany geometric hanger with turtleback border and heavily striated glass, a spectacular Handel peacock table lamp, a Handel black bird of paradise, an impressive Unique floor lamp, several examples of some of Bigelow & Kennard’s work and much more. We have always been proud of offering outstanding French Cameo Glass and this sale will far exceed any that we have offered in the past. The cornerstone of our French cameo offering is a major collection from the East Coast, incl. several extremely rare examples of Galle Marquetry incl. a 14” Crocus vase with exceptional color and carving. Also highlighting the French glass are several pieces of Galle mold-blown vases, Daum padded and wheelcarved vases, 2 wonderful Muller nocturnal vases with owls and much, much more. The collection also offers an exceptionally fine group of Pate-de-Verre by G. Argy-Rousseau, A. Walter and others in fine boxes, plates, trays and vases. Rounding out the French glass are many more exceptional pieces by makers such as Burgen & Schverer, Muller, D’Argental, LeVerre Francais and much, much more. As always this highly diverse auction will have a fine offering of choice Steuben incl. Aurene, Cluthera, acid cutback, Moss Agate and much more. On its way to us, but yet to arrive is a rare Steuben Pegasus lamp base, we are only aware of two of these in existence and are extremely excited to be offering this wonderful example. Steuben glass will be complimented by many fine pieces of Lalique, Durand, Quezal and Kew Blas incl. King Tut and pulled feather designs. Victorian Art Glass will once again hold a prominent position in our Lamp & Glass auction incl. a fine Southern collection of rare Wheeling Peach Blow as well as many pieces of Mt. Washington, Burmese, Royal Flemish and Crown Milano. Highlighting the Victorian art glass is a wonderful matched pair of Wheeling Peach Blow vases and an outstanding Crown Milano ewer, beautifully decorated with gold fish and heavy aquatic vegetation. We have an exceptional offering of fine antique and estate Jewelry in this sale. Highlighting the jewelry is a diamond solitaire of over 6ct, a platinum & diamond bracelet with over 12ct of fine diamonds and a beautiful diamond 3-stone ring with total wt. exceeding 5cts. We will also be offering a magnificent Victorian gold bracelet set with 3 Geneva porcelain portrait ovals, all of which are artist signed. This is definitely a must see piece!
