Important Griffin & Howe rifle with a Mauser action in .300 H & H caliber, 26-1/2” barrel, Lyman receiver mounted adjustable sight, G&H quick release sidemount with Ziel-Dialyt 4X scope #30492 displaying crystal clear optics; ¼ rib with 3 folding leaves, ramp front sight with beaded blade, engraved 4 panel bolt knob, engraved by Kornbrath with an inlaid gold ram’s head on the floor plate, silver oval on underside of butt stock with initials “WP” for famed aviator, WileyPost. The gun is in overall excellent condition showing the majority of its original blue finish with fine bore, crisp action, sharp markings including No. 1230 on top of barrel; quick release sling swivels; extensive detailed engraving onfloor plate, trigger guard, pistol grip cap, front sling swivel band, front sight band and associated muzzle area and top of receiver by the master engraver, Rudolph Kornbrath. The checkered wood stock is in fine condition with contrastingdark forend cap; red hard rubber butt pad is worn and somewhat compressed. The gun has been reviewed by Griffin and Howe with their finding of “excellent condition” cited in a letter dated August 24, 2005, signed by Joe Prather, President,
