The "Volney Pinkerton" Edward H. Bohlin, Hollywood, Calif. Indian Head Bookends. Not any “ordinary" Bohlin bookends, these sterling silver pair were made for Bohlin's son-in-law, Volney Pinkerton, as a personal gift from Ed. “V P" initials in gold on the front. The early, small “Bohlinmade – Hollywood" mark is on the bottom of the base, signed “E. H. Bohlin" on the front. A scarce, early accessory example, with Bohlin family history. 6" tall, by 5 1/2" wide by 3" deep (with base). Circa mid-1940s.

Includes a copy of a James Nottage letter regarding this exact pair of bookends. Also includes a photocopy of a note in Mrs. Lillian B. Pinkerton’s (Ed's daughter) hand.
