Important Colt Model 1903 General Officers U.S. Property-marked semi-auto pistol, previously belonging to Brigadier General Thomas W. Mellen, .32 cal., 4” barrel, parkerized finish, checkered Colt medallion wood grips, #570976. This gun is in overall fine condition showing approx. 99% original parkerized finish, fine bore, crisp action, fine markings, excellent wood grips with some small areas of compression to the checkering; accompanied with military black leather holster,double magazine black leather holder with an extra magazine, all in fine condition; cleaning rod and brass bristle bore brush and military or factory shipping pouch numbered to this gun with markings “MIL-B-131C CLASS 1 & 2, Dec. 1962 Lot 8 (alsoFeb. 1963 Lot 9)” and “AUTO PISTOL COLT CAL 32, 1 EA A 5-066, RK CB”. Most importantly, this lot is accompanied with the original Department of the Army Certificate of ownership presented to General Mellen on 18 April, 1969 and is numberedto this Colt. Thomas W.
