An extraordinary, powerful and historic thus and VERY RARE 26 de julio, July 26th type-written Letter

An approximate translation reads as follows:

"Message to the Congress of Orthodox Militants

Comrades in the ideal

… it is hard for to me to write these words from afar when my thoughts do not for one minute abandon my homeland, martyred and enslaved, and for this reason we fight without rest.

It is not even possible to ensure when these lines will be printed, if congress permits it, because in Cuba there exists no security of anything and the few rights that exist do not allow the freedom of any inherent prerogative whether of the citizen or a party, rather there exist only handouts which are only given on the condition they are begged for when you are on your knees and asking for freedom for 3 years in a row on my knees (my note: since 1953 - when the July 26th movement began) has only served that we look with greater ease for the yolk on the necks (backs) of men.

With those already in place in Cuba, and in this regard one describes and palpitates according to the same line, in spite of the adversity we have to signal it is not about trying or attempting to reconcile disparate and absurd ideas in this regard it is more so about driving forward with these facts and acting upon a true guide (objective) of our cause which will carry it forward beneath the flag of triumph.

According to this same line of thought, we have only the good to concede and to attribute to ourselves with utmost humility the work of humble servants of Cuba and to obtain from you only the most enthusiastic cooperation of a company where everything is only sacrifice and with these firm hopes and your brave friends we attribute absolute faith that we will be supported with all the necessary possible resources, and which will contribute in and of itself a great standard and bulwark for the final future development of our cause.

Taking this message, we will take votes and exhortations for its firm cooperation in such circumstances and so that nobody in the present or the future can interfere with either organization notably united they center themselves with a sole base and a common force we wish to leave a firm consistency of our recognition of yourselves which will allow us to regroup the first contingent of our landing party with firm support(?) and selflessness in the most critical days of the Revolution which allows us to recover to continue the fight with more force than ever, convinced that a people such as ours is worthy of all the sacrifices…
Signed
