We at James D. Julia, Inc. Advertising, Toy & Doll division are pleased to announce their widely diverse Spring 2003 auction of antique advertising, toys, dolls, coin-op, and music machines. This important auction will feature the contents of a single-owner, fresh to the market collection of approximately 200 fine bisque dolls including K (star) R, Kestner, Schmidt, Simon & Halbig, etc. Also to include examples from estates across the U.S. including a lg. 29" Thullier A14T, a rare 13" Kathe Kruse "Schlenkerchen", Bru, Jumeau, nearly 100 Madame Alexanders in OB, and many others. This auction will also include the 600-piece glass candy container collection of the late Francis Maule of Oxford, PA. This fresh-to-the-market collection includes the exceptionally rare Kaleidoscope, which is the only one known to exist. Also included will be rare airplane containers, characters, Flossie Fisher Furniture, and many more. Of special interest will be three original candy container molds from Westmoreland incl. Dolly Sweeper, Lawn Swing and West Bros. Wagon consigned directly from a descendent of the founder of Westmoreland Specialty Co. The auction will also feature over 200 U.S. Patent Models from one collection. Many of these retain their original patent tags and cover a wide variety of subjects incl. agriculture, machinery, and household goods. Also over 60 rare and desirable CI mech. banks incl. Mammy, Boy Robbing Nest, Wm. Tell in OB, Darktown, etc. Slot machines and arcade incl. Buckley Bones, Rol-a-Top, strength testers, etc. Advertising incl. a rare Orange Crush porc. sign (1 of 4 known), reverse artist's proofs incl. Coca-Cola. Over 40 music machines incl. Polyphon, Regina, Kalliope, etc. and nickelodeons. Antique toys incl.
