Rare Yangcai large porcelain lantern vase; the ovoid body rising from a spreading foot to a waisted neck flaring at the rim; featuring two ruyi-shaped panels containing auspicious patterns of bogutu; decorated in multi-coloured enamels with a pair of phoenix amidst floral scrolls; the gold gilt contoured exterior decoration is incised on a milk white crackle glazed ground; the base bears three six-character Qianlong reign marks enclosed by text stating the original provenance of the vase (reading "An imperial order made in Janurary, 1736 for Tang Ying, the supervisor of official kilns"); H: 59 cm, D: 28 cm, 9 kg
