Gorgeous. A centrepiece for a collection.</em></td>

<tr>
<td width="100%">
In the style of Faberge , we are offering an egg gorgeously decorated with insects and studded with cabuchon garnets. The egg is marked by the maker Pavel Ovchinikov who was a competitor of Faberge and who obtained the Imperial warrant years bedore the Faberge Company.

Unnfortunately a lens was misplaced and a closeup picture of the narks cannot be provided. We trust a description will suffice. The marks are in Cyrillic PO with imperial double eage. In addition the silver standard is 84 zlotnys (equivalent to .875) with a diademed head turned to the right.

The top section of the egg is marked as well It bears in Latin characters IP with double eagle and the silver standard.
The base does not appaer to bear any marks. It is a ring supported by 3 dolphins with their tails in the air.

Really a beautiful item in gorgeous condition.

We do not have any appraisals so we cannot provide any authentication for this item.
