<td width="100%">
This cross by an unknowm master (S.Z in cyrillic) was presented by the Czar Autrocrat, Nicolas II, to Russian clergy on the occasion of the tercenary of the Romanov dynasty in 1913. Enameled to the front with small rubies and above the crown of the Russian czars in 1613 when the dynasty was invited to ascend the Imperial throne. To the rear there are the arms of the Romanoff dynasty (the Griffen holding a shield and sword) with an inscription in cyrillic surrounding a cross. On one side of the arms of the medal there is the crowned monogram of the first Romanov czar and on the other side the crowned monogram of the Russsian Emperor, Nicholas II.
Marked to the base with the kokoshnik mark and 88 as well as the initials that would appear to be S.Z. in cyrillic (C3).
Splendid historical item in great condition.
