Imperial Faberge Inspired Egg
Carl Faberge was a Russian jeweler of French origin, best known for the famous eggs, made in the style of genuine Easter eggs, but using precious metals and gemstones. Russian Czars commissioned him to make an Easter Egg as a gift for the Empress from 1885 through 1917. The tradition continued until the October Revolution. Just 42 eggs out of 50 have survived. The eggs are made of precious metals or hard stones decorated with combination of enamel and gem stones. The term "Faberge egg" has become a synonym of luxury and the eggs are regarded as masterpieces of the jeweler's art. The Faberge Imperial Easter Eggs are regarded as the last great series of commissions for objects d'art. 8.5'' (H) Pewter, Enamel, Crystals Faberge is a trademark of Pallinghurst Resources LLP.
