# 26 for 10 shares to OV Chauvel. Chauvel was the proprietor of the Chauvel House at 12 North 'C' Street. He kept a gymnasium upstairs where Mark Twain once was involved in a boxing match. His nose was bloodied and he took an assignment at Silver Mountain to avoid the shame of his defeat. Sullivan was where Pine Nut Canyon merges with Eldorado Canyon. [Ansari] Coal mining was done in this canyon as early as the early 1860's. Although TIngley does not mention coal in the eight minerals mined here.
