ND (ca. 1890-1923) 10 Tomans, P-4. Unlisted specimen banknote. Black on red and green with portrait of Nasr-ed-Din on right, Arms with lion at left, back is dark brown with Lion at center. The back has no location name printed on the note. Pin punch "Specimen" once in middle. Back has 4 serial number locations, UR, LL and two vertically in middle center, Serial #'s "S/A 10001 - 30000". The note appears CU to Gem condition, but the note appears to have been previously mounted on left and removed leaving wavey paper, otherwise very attractive and fresh appearing note that will enhance any advanced collection of Persian banknotes. This is the fifth of 8 notes from this extremely rare and popular series that is sure to attract considerable attention. BW&C.
