Pioneer aviation engineer (1889–1972) who developed the first four-engine airplane and the first modern helicopter to be put into widespread use. Matte-finish 8 x 10 photo of Sikorsky holding a helicopter model, signed and inscribed in the lower border in black ink “To Michael Robuck, with best wishes by I. Sikorsky, April 21, 1971.” In fine condition, with some light rippling along top edge, and a couple creases to right edge.
