See Simon Ottenberg, <I>Masked Rituals of Afikpo, the Context of an African Art</B></I> (Seattle and London: The University of Washington Press, 1975) for full information they appear on this and other types of Afikpo masks and the ceremonies in which. There is a small gnawing loss midway down the proper left side of the plaque. Otherwise, with wear, in good condition with the original coiled fiber attachment area intact.<BR><BR>Provenance: H.
