Low bench or seat for the leader of a local council (others sat on their haunches or the ground). Surprisingly scarce in collections, they must not be common or available to be released by the Ifugao tribe. Early 20th C. with Buffalo faces at either end (minus horns) which have well-defined eyes and nose. Old crack through the seat will not get greater now. 21" nose-to-nose, the UCLA exhibit could not find one to display. An opportunity for some astute collector.
