1876 This was issue number 151 and was released on Tuesday July 11, 1876; 16 days after the Battle of Little Big Horn also known as Custer's Last Stand. There are 2 long articles on the second page entitled "The Indian" and "Indian Butchery, the gallant Custer Killed." Both detail the battle, and give current 19th Century opinions about the situation. Other articles cover mining troubles in Silver City as well as local news from the city of Boise. The paper is in 2 pieces, and measures 18.25" x 12." There is some wear including tears on the edges, but overall this is a great piece of history. Lynn Langdon Collection - HKA#65610
