Major General for the Confederate Army. A West Point graduate, he fought with great distinction under Stonewall Jackson at Cross Keys. Trimble lost his leg, was captured at Gettysburg, and was not exchanged until Feb 1865. DS, 3pp, folio, Baltimore, Feb 24, 1874. Mortgage to William A. Fisher in the amount of $3,000 on “<i>ground and improvements in Baltimore County at the North East Corner of Decker Street and North Avenue, which was recently conveyed by said Fisher & wife to said Isaac R. Trimble</i>...” Boldly signed by Trimble and his wife. Docketed on verso. Normal folds with minor separations, without paper loss; o/w VG.</span></p>

1. Auction Catalogue No. 19 is a Mail, Fax, Phone, Email and
Internet Live Bid Auction and is conducted under the laws of the State
of West Virginia by Gil Griggs, Licensee of Charleston, W. V. License
No. 002.
2. Absentee bid closing date is April 5th, 2002, 10:00 PM EST.
3. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium charged on the final hammer price
of each lot. An additional 2½% Premium will be added to any lots
purchased through ebayliveauctions.com.
4. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid for any
reason.

6. In the event of duplicate high bids, the earliest bid received
will be the winner.
